The core component of any security solution is the control panel. Similar to your
brain, it processes input from the body and acts on it appropriately. Another key component is the keypad. It’s how you give your brain commands on what to do with input from the various senses. Think of the sensors in your security solution as being the senses of your body.

| Selecting the right Alarm company | |||||||||||
|
With public interest in security at an all-time high, it’s no surprise that the alarm
field is one of the country’s fastest growing industries. And while there are many
experienced, reputable and reliable companies, you must be sure that what appears to
be a bargain, doesn’t turn out to be a costly mistake in the long run. Select an
established company with a record of successful operation. Don’t wait until a
salesman is in your home before you start thinking about the standing of the company.
Check beforehand. Your local police and fire departments and Chamber of Commerce are
excellent places to be sure the company is reputable. A reputable company will not
hesitate to provide you with the names of satisfied customers. You shouldn’t hesitate
to contact such clients. In Illinois, a security company must be licensed with the
State. Check for that license. Also, membership in the Illinois Electronic Security
Association (IESA), National Burglary and Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA) and the National
Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) are signs of a committed alarm company.

| Power Outage | |||||||||||
|
All security and fire solutions installed by Illini Security include a backup battery
system. This backup system automatically kicks in when the power goes out. Our
systems can even let someone know when the power is interrupted so the appropriate
action can be taken.

| Insurance Discount | |||||||||||
|
A monitored security system from Illini Security Systems can reduce your homeowner’s
insurance premium. The amount of the discount varies from company to company, so ask
your insurance agent for details.

| On the question of price | |||||||||||
|
Because an adequate alarm system should be designed specifically for the individual,
taking into account lifestyle, your own feelings about security, and personal budget,
it is not possible to provide any hard and fast guidelines on the subject of price.
You can always find someone who is willing to sacrifice quality in order to bring in
a price that might seem like a bargain, but with life safety at stake, assurance of
performance should be your most important yardstick. The National Crime Prevention
Institute warns to be careful of any company that is willing to quote a price on
the telephone without making a careful and detailed survey of your home. And be sure
to get a detailed description of what you are buying in writing. We also
understand your security needs can’t be cut from a one-size-fits-all mold.
We tailor all of our security solutions to your needs, ensuring your satisfaction long
after the sale. There is no such thing as a free system or free installation. Beware
of such claims. Remember the old saying, “If it sounds too good to be true, it
usually is.”

| Installation | |||||||||||
|
Illini Security has a staff of licensed and bonded professionals to install your
security solution. The installation time is dependent on the size and complexity
of your system, and the layout of your site.
|
|||||||||||
| Service | |||||||||||
|
Our highly qualified technicians maintain and service our systems,
and service and/or retro-fit existing systems to bring them to the Illini
Security standards.
|
|||||||||||
| Off-Premises Monitoring | |||||||||||
|
Illini security does not require a monitoring contract to install a system. However,
a non-monitored system will only sound a local alarm. It will not notify the
monitoring center in an emergency. With monitoring, if an intruder activates your
system, there is a fire in your home, or there is high water in your sump pit, a
signal will immediately be sent to a monitoring center via the telephone line.
The trained professionals at the monitoring center contact the appropriate party for
the given alarm signal and then call your personal emergency list.
|

| Phone line interruption/cut | |||||||||||
|
Illini Security can provide alternate paths of communication in the event of phone
line failure or interruption, so you remain on line in an emergency.
